The Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons at Seattle University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Librarian to be the Lead Librarian for Online Research and Instruction. This full-time non-tenure-track appointment begins August 17, 2013.

The successful candidate will provide leadership in the development and delivery of user services for students and faculty participating in new methods of course delivery and support - distance, hybrid, blended, and online; collaborate with library, faculty and technology colleagues to develop a plan and program to meet the needs of library users in a changing educational environment and to ensure the regular assessment and evolution of library services and support; serve as the contact person for relevant university departments and offices regarding the library services and needs for online and distance education; participate in the regular activities of public service librarians and library faculty.

Qualifications: ALA-accredited master’s degree. Experience providing research services and teaching in an academic library.
Knowledge of using, implementing and evaluating online education library support services, including use of course management, web-based and other technologies. Commitment to professional service, scholarship and research required for promotion in rank.
