Essential Functions
Staffs public service desk by providing customer service to students, faculty/staff, college partners and public patrons in person, on the phone, and via e-mail; responds to complaints and inquiries; assists in the interpretation of library policies and explains rules; refers patron to supervisor or Lead when appropriate.

Answer multi-line phone

Assists students, faculty/staff, college partners, and public patrons with library/technology issues both over the phone and in person

Troubleshoots and assists users in the operation of equipment

Searches standard library tools to provide information services

Handles financial transactions (cash) and credits account, updating Banner holds as needed

Assists with resource sharing lending and borrowing tasks as needed.

May open/close facilities

May coordinate work of student employees

May process, sort and package incoming/ outgoing courier materials and mail for various libraries and patrons.
May help manage academic course reserve collection by processing incoming items (print and electronic); may withdraw materials at instructors' request

Performs other projects and related duties as assigned
