Literacy Services Librarian Deadline: 25 March Edmonton Public Library is looking for a forward thinking, outgoing librarian to join the Public Services Team as the Literacy Services Librarian. This highly motivated individual is passionate about literacy for all persons, including children and families. Under the direction of the Manager, Centre for Reading and the Arts, and working closely with the Manager of Youth Services, the successful candidate will develop, coordinate and deliver imaginative and innovative literacy services and will liaison with a variety of community organizations. The successful candidate will also provide reference and readers’/listeners’/ viewers’ advisory services to the public and maintain collections in assigned areas. The Literacy Librarian will work with other Librarians and teams on system projects and will oversee Library Assistants in project activities. Other requirements: Commitment to intellectual freedom, community and public service is a must! HOURS OF WORK 35 hours per week – varied schedulesPay $31.28 – $39.92 per hour ($57,147 - $72,936 per annum) NOTE: CANDIDATES THAT DO NOT MEET THE TWO YEAR PROFESSIONAL LIBRARIAN WORK EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION MAY BE CONSIDERED AT A LOWER PAY BAND.
