The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Library at The University of Montana seeks an Acquisitions and Electronic Resources Management Librarian to provide expertise and leadership in the procurement, licensing, management, and support of ongoing access to electronic and print information resources purchased by UM libraries. The successful candidate will possess an ALA accredited Master's degree in Library Science completed by the appointment date; demonstrated understanding of current models, practices, trends, and tools used by academic libraries for acquisitions, access and discoverability of electronic resources and electronic resource management software; awareness of trends and working experience or coursework in cataloging, indexing and/or metadata and information retrieval, including RDA and FRBR; and the ability to meet standards for achieving tenure and promotion. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated; enjoy working in a fast-paced, changing environment; have excellent analytical, organizational, time management, project management, and communication skills; have individual initiative; have a commitment to excellent customer service; and have a strong interest in working with open URL linking technologies, managing web-scale discovery tools, budgeting, analyzing usage statistics, licensing, facilitating communication within the library, and coordinating staff training and workflows.
