The Waggener Edstrom Worldwide Research & Discovery team is comprised of expert researchers and analysts well-versed in gathering, synthesizing, analyzing and packaging information for maximum value. Working closely with internal PR account staff and their external clients, Research & Discovery strives to add value in every step of the communications development path, from providing insight into target audiences and uncovering key influencers, to testing key messages and assessing brand strategies and more.
This particular position:
- Uses professional concepts and applies Network policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
- Contacts are mainly internal with some external contact. |
Responsibilities: |
This position is an integral part of the team and provides support for projects, services and products to Account Staff or other teams within the agency. The focus of this entry-level position is to gather relevant information for analysis and distribution.
Research Capabilities & Responsibilities:
- Learns how to use key research and reference resources.
- Has the ability to gather relevant information for research projects.
- Assesses information requests quickly and determines whether to answer or refer on to another team member.
- Quickly and accurately answers basic reference questions using Internet, online, print or other sources.
- Is able to develop basic search techniques and the best methods to obtain data by using database and internet searching.
- Provides effective assistance to team members with research requests.
- Follows through on actions identified by the manager to meet research deliverables. |
Qualifications: |
- Bachelors degree or above (preferably an in-process or newly graduated MLS candidate).
- 0-2 years of professional experience. |
