The Board of Trustees is searching for a director to serve as chief executive officer of the library, implement library policies and projects and provide leadership for improving public library service to the community. The library district serves a population of approximately 40,000 and is in Rexburg, Idaho, which is also home to Brigham Young University - Idaho.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work effectively with library trustees and community groups.
o Ability to supervise and motivate library staff and volunteers.
o Excellent interpersonal skills and working ability with library patrons.
o Strong knowledge of library technology and automated systems.

Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of administrative experience, including a broad background in management, administration, operations and finance with experience of public library services and operation and of library collections. A Master's Degree in Library Science, or Library and Information Science (MLS/MLIS) from a graduate library program accredited by the American Library Association is preferred.
