CAYAS SPRING WORKSHOP:  
YA Bibliorama! The Best 100 Young Adult Books--So far

The Children's and Young Adult Services (CAYAS) interest group of WLA
welcomes Patty Campbell for a workshop on March 7, 1997 from 10:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m. at the Holmes Community Center in Ellensburg.  Ms. Campbell will
acquaint participants with a wide range of YA fiction, from early classics
to new risk-taking books.  She will also lead discussion on current trends
and issues.  Ms. Campbell is a long-time writer, editor, and critic in the
field of young adult literature, as well as a former librarian.

Prior to the workshop, all participants will be asked to read _The
Chocolate War_ as well as four other books from the list of the best 100,
which will be mailed as soon as registrations are received.  Cost for WLA
members is $25, non-members $45.
