pnla-l surpasses 1000!

The pnla-l list surpassed the vaunted 1,000 subscriber count earlier this
month.  While there is no award that I know of that comes with this
achievement it is noteworthy that 1,000 people find pnla-l valuable
despite the zillions of lists available to us. 

You have also probably noticed that the content is much broader than it
was initially.  For quite awhile the list was really just an online
version of Jobline but now includes postings on a wide variety of topics.

So, thank you list subscribers for helping make this a successful
discussion group!  Now, how about a few more of you joining pnla itself. 

Speaking of which, the pnla conference is next week.  On Thursday morning
(August 7) from 7-8:30 the Electronic Access Committee which spawned this
list will meet.  This meeting is tucked in with the pnla Interest Groups
so just go where they are (the "dining hall" according to the program) and
we'll have a table, too. The topic will be:  now that we have a pnla web
page and a list is there anything more to do?
