DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general direction of the Director of the Division of Special
Collections and University Archives, administers the University's Archives
and Records Management program. Responsible for the acquisition, appraisal
and administration of the materials relating to the University and its
activities, policies and personnel. Assesses current policies and
procedures and institutes new ones as appropriate. Provides reference
service to the collections in collaboration with Special Collections
public service staff. Supervises one full-time support staff member, and
student assistants. Develops on-line guides to and finding aids for the
collections; participates in the library instruction program. Other
related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: minimum of two years experience in archival work; graduate
degree in archival management methods; strong computer skills; excellent
oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to interact
effectively with Library staff, faculty and the general public.

SALARY:

$28,500 minimum. Appointment beyond the minimum salary will be dependent
upon qualifications, prior experience, and academic rank. Generous
benefits.

EMPLOYMENT:
Librarians have faculty status and privileges, academic rank (Assistant
Professor-Professor), and are non-tenure track, with fixed-term, renewable
contracts (two or three years, depending on rank). Professional growth and
service in keeping with university and library standards for promotion and
retention is expected.
