I've been following this with interest, even tho our children's collection
here at BCC is minuscule, serving only the Early Childhood Education
program. So I have just one title to suggest: "Come a tide", story by
George Ella Lyon, pictures by Stephen Gammell. It's about a flood in the
Applalachians after a snowstorm and subsequent deluge of rain. . . like
some Novembers here in the NW! The heroine is the Grandmother who forsees
the emergency and makes sure her family is ok. The book's still in print.
