Plans Announced for 1998 PNLA / ILA Conference !

The Pacific Northwest Library Association and the Idaho Library Association are pleased to announce plans for a joint conference August 12-15, 1998 in Sun Valley, Idaho.

The conference theme is Libraries Unlimited: Resources for All and will feature keynote speaker Ann Symons, ALA President. Children's author Penny Colman will also be a featured speaker and Karen Schneider will conduct a pre-conference on intellectual freedom and the Internet. Library advocate Susan Silk will present a program for trustees, librarians, and other interested attendees on library advocacy issues. Winners of the PNLA Young Readers Choice Award, the oldest children's choice award in the country, will be announced at the conference during an awards banquet.

Sun Valley, Idaho, a prime destination resort and conference site internationally known for its ski resort also offers plenty of summer outdoor adventures including mountain bike riding, fishing, swimming, tennis, golf, white water rafting, camping, and horseback riding.
