YRCA Winners for 1998

The Young Reader's Choice Award Committee of the Pacific Northwest Library Association is pleased to announce the winners of the 1998 Young Reader's Choice Award.

The 4th - 8th grade division award goes to
Louis Sachar for Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger.

The 9th - 12th grade division award goes to
Karen Cushman for The Midwife's Apprentice.

This past March over 51,000 students voted for their favorite book. The winners are being invited to accept their awards at the annual Pacific Northwest Library Association conference. The meeting is scheduled for August 13-15 in beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho.
